Over 60 Domestic and International Flights Disrupted as Pakistan Faces Unrest

In the wake of the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan has experienced widespread political unrest, leading to violent protests across the country. The situation escalated to the point where road blockages caused the cancellation of more than 60 domestic and international flights, leaving travelers from various regions unable to reach the airports.

Major domestic flight routes to Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore were affected by the disruptions, along with international flights to Jeddah, Muscat, Baghdad, Madinah, Dubai, Riyadh, and Baku. Compounding the challenges, an internet outage hindered communication, leaving people uninformed and exacerbating the already uncertain circumstances. As a result, many passengers had no choice but to turn back after reaching the airport.

Fortunately, the situation has now calmed down. Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines to inquire about the rescheduling of their flights, as normal operations resume.
