In a shocking announcement, Tesla has issued a recall for over 400 of its Model 3 vehicles in the United States due to a potentially dangerous defect.
The issue lies in the front suspension lateral link fasteners, which may loosen and cause the lateral link to separate from the sub-frame on the affected 2018 and 2019 model year vehicles.
This could lead to instability and increased crash risk, warns the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Although Tesla reports no crashes or injuries related to the recall, it’s a concerning situation that has resulted in 25 warranty claims and 2 field reports since January 2019.
This latest callback is an expansion of a 2021 recall for the same issue, which covered almost 2,800 Model 3 from the 2019-2021 model years and 2020-2021 Tesla Model Y vehicles.
With safety being a top priority for any vehicle manufacturer, Tesla has announced it will tighten or replace the lateral link fasteners to ensure the safety of its customers.
