Pakistani actor Qavi Khan has passed away at the age of 80 while staying in Canada for medical treatment. The Arts Council Karachi President, Muhammad Ahmad Shah, confirmed the news and praised the late actor’s talent, referring to him as a “great actor” who made a lasting impact on the showbiz industry.
Khan had received numerous awards throughout his career, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz and President’s Award for Pride of Performance. He acted in over 200 films and appeared in successful TV serials, radio shows, and stage dramas.
The funeral and burial will be held in Canada, and condolences have poured in from across the country, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressing deep sorrow and terming Khan’s death as an “irreparable loss” to the arts sector in Pakistan.
