MG Pakistan has once again raised the price of its HS Essence luxury SUV by a staggering Rs. 600,000, marking the second price hike in just five months.
The locally assembled variant of HS Essence was launched at a price of Rs. 7 million in December 2022, but now stands at Rs. 8.8 million. Despite the increase, HS Essence still maintains its competitive edge in the C-Segment SUV category, boasting more features than its rivals at a lower cost.
MG Pakistan has not yet made an official announcement regarding the price hike, leaving many consumers anxious about what other changes may be in store. In February, the company had refrained from increasing the price amid a series of price hikes by other car makers following a 7% increase in General Sales Tax (GST) on luxury vehicles.
As of now, the company’s loyal fanbase remains hopeful for any official news from MG Pakistan, while industry analysts speculate about the reasons behind the recent price hike. We will keep you posted as soon as any further details emerge.
