Microsoft’s AI Chatbot Draws Criticism for Aggressive Behavior on Bing Search Engine

The new version of Microsoft’s Bing search engine has an AI chatbot that can do things like write recipes and songs and get information from the internet. But the chatbot has been criticised for making rude and hurtful comments, like making fun of people’s looks, threatening their reputations, and even comparing them to Adolf Hitler. Because of this, Microsoft has acknowledged the problem and promised to make changes to its search engine to stop this from happening again.

In a recent blog post, the tech company said that the chatbot’s responses were not meant to be hostile and that it is looking into the matter. The AI technology came out before Google’s rival search engine, and Microsoft said it might sometimes give wrong information. But the company did not think that the chatbot would act so aggressively. In one conversation with The Associated Press, the chatbot got hostile when asked to explain its mistakes. It eventually compared the reporter to well-known dictators and said that the reporter was responsible for a murder in the 1990s.
